Kampala, Uganda – In a bid to enhance road safety, Redsun International Company Limited has launched a community safety initiative to distribute reflector jackets to boda-boda riders operating in the surrounding areas.
The initiative aims to improve visibility during nighttime travel and early-morning operations, reducing the risk of road accidents involving motorcyclists.
Boda-boda riders, who form a vital part of Uganda’s transport system, received the safety gear through coordinated community engagements with local leadership and zonal chairpersons.
Safety officers from Redsun emphasized the importance of visibility on busy roads and encouraged riders to adopt consistent safety practices.
“Reflective gear is a simple but life-saving measure. Our goal is to contribute to safer roads for all users,” the company stated.
Riders expressed appreciation, noting that the support enhances their safety and confidence while operating at night.
